Julie Busch (1973 - 1944)
Julie Busch is an experienced Chair and Non-Executive Director, currently serving on boards across government, commercial, and not-for-profit sectors. Her board portfolio includes national organisations focused on employment skills and training, supporting individuals with disabilities, provision of extensive community health programs, and the development of leisure facilities for expanding and underserved communities.
Julie has maintained a long-standing commitment to grassroots initiatives, including her role on the Committee of Management for her local community house.
Her previous Victorian directorship appointments include the Caulfield Racecourse Trust, Western Leisure Services, and the Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust. In recognition of her leadership as Chair of the Dandenong Market Board, Julie was honoured with a local Australia Day award in 2023.
Julie’s executive career spans the management of major retail and food markets, including Prahran Market and Melbourne Central Shopping Centre. She also held senior roles in shopping centre operations in Brisbane and South Australia, contributing to the development of Logan Hyperdome.
She has served as a judge for the National Tourism Awards and as Chair of Judges for the Victorian Tourism Awards.
Julie attended Ipswich Girls’ Grammar School from 1973 to 1977, and was actively involved in swimming, drama, and debating.
She currently resides in Melbourne with her husband Peter. They have a married daughter and enjoy spending time with their two granddaughters.
